MENT was the main supplier of specially designed crockery for the opening of the underwater restaurant Under at Lindesnes and the collection has been developed in collaboration with Snøhetta and Under. Our desire was to create a holistic dining experience and inspiration for the products are taken from the area around the restaurant.
This small toothpick holder is produced in two parts and in coloured porcelain. The product is glazed inside with transparent glaze. The outside is untreated and this gives a delicate, tactile surface. To empty the container for used toothpicians, simply remove the top lid with new toothpicthrides and turn it on your head.
It takes 7 days from when we cast a brand new product until it has gone through all the craft processes of washing edges, sanding surfaces, raw fire, glazing, glaze fire and finally completion where we polish the unglazed surfaces with fine sandpaper. Our production process and all the handwork this entails means that each product is unique.
Our porcelain is fired at 1270 degrees and is dishwasher safe.
Material: Colored porcelain
Size: W 6cm / H 11 cm
The product is dishwasher safe. The porcelain is fragile and does not withstand hard blows. The material can also crack during thermal shock, ie if sudden temperature differences occur. Read more about how to take care of your product here .
