The KRUM teapot is produced in our workshop in through-colored porcelain, which means that we mix color powder into the material itself instead of glazing the product with color on the outside. This allows us to create beautiful transitions between matte and glossy, and a delicate, tactile surface that is easy to hold. Because of this method, you will also experience some marbling in the material where the color is not completely mixed into the porcelain. This will be most prominent in the darkest colors.

When using the teapot, we recommend rinsing it with warm tap water before pouring it into the boiling water so that there is no abrupt transition from cold to very hot as this can cause stress in the material.
Our teapot is made of a material combination of porcelain and wood, and the wood is not dishwasher safe. We therefore recommend washing the teapot by hand. The porcelain is fragile and does not withstand hard blows.
