GREEN WEEK
Here at ment® this week we have _GREEN WEEK
As a response to Black Friday, we want to highlight the value of responsible productionInstead of encouraging overconsumption, we invite you to reflect on what you buy, who makes the products and how they are made.
For us, responsibility is about more than materials - it's about making conscious choices throughout the production process.
For us, responsibility is about more than materials - it's about making conscious choices throughout the production process.
Isn't it nice to know who makes your products and what they are made of?

A THANK YOU TO YOU WHO CARE
In connection with GREEN WEEK, we want to give something back. If you shop with us for NOK 1,500 during this week, you'll receive our exclusive KRUM coffee cup - made from recycled porcelain material. Perhaps you have a wish list of products that are meant® for you - or you need a gift?
It's our way of rewarding responsible choices and showing what we can achieve together.
HOW WE MAKE THE PRODUCTS
Model development is the heart of our creation process at ment®.
This is where our ideas go from thoughts and sketches to tangible products.
Once the design has been finalized, work starts on creating a production mould. Then we create the first prototype.
We can then test the product in relation to its function, correct the model and repeat this process until we are satisfied.
Another crucial part of model development is the development of color recipes. We mix the color pigments directly into the porcelain mass, which gives our products the unique through-colored effect.
Every step of the model development is done by hand, with an eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
From the first sketches to the finished mold, model development is a time-consuming and precise process that lays the foundation for the finished products we are proud to present.

CRAFTSMANSHIP
Once the design is ready, the product goes through a meticulous manual production process with seven steps that together take at least seven days.
Production starts with molding, where liquid porcelain is poured into molds made of plaster.
After the product has hardened, the edges are sanded and cut for a smooth finish. Then it goes to raw firing, the first kiln that hardens the porcelain.
After firing, each product is hand polished and stamped with the ment® logo before glazing.
Products used for food and beverages must have a layer of transparent glaze for durability and ease of use.
Glazing is followed by glaze firing, a high-temperature kiln that completes the hardening process and gives the porcelain a glossy and durable surface.
Green Week is a reminder of the importance of conscious choices. In a time characterized by overconsumption and quick purchases, we want to inspire reflection on where and how the products you surround yourself with are created. At ment®, every product is the result of careful craftsmanship, sustainable processes and respect for the environment.Let's go green this week - and give responsible manufacturing the attention it deserves!
